Hobos Beware
Ok, this is going to require a little explanation. I am not an alcoholic. A few years ago I was having a lot of problems with my guts and I finally wound up seeing a gastroenterologist about it. After a round of amusing and exciting tests we finally discovered that I belong to a small group of people whose pancreas is damaged by even small amounts of drinking.
So basically all drinking was out for me. And even though I didn’t drink more than socially I still have a deep and abiding love for extremely fine beers brewed in small batches by monks in Belgium. And that craving makes me feel pretty stabby sometimes.
